Marketing Manager – Retail Destination

Location: Ashford | Full-time, Onsite (5 days/week)

1 in 4 weekends | One late shift (12–8pm) per week

Are you a dynamic, results-driven marketing leader ready to take charge at one of Ashford’s leading retail destinations? We’re looking for an experienced Senior Strategic Marketing Manager to spearhead our marketing strategy — with the goal of driving footfall, dwell time, and average spend across our bustling retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive, insight-led marketing strategy aligned with footfall and sales growth targets.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead a high-performing on-site marketing team, collaborating closely with the central marketing function to localise national campaigns effectively.
  • Events & Campaigns: Oversee a robust calendar of on-site events, activations, and seasonal campaigns that engage customers and enhance the visitor experience.
  • Agency Collaboration: Manage relationships with third-party agencies including PR, creative, media, and digital to ensure high-impact delivery.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor campaign ROI, shopper insights, and KPIs to constantly refine strategies and improve effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably within retail, leisure, or placemaking.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate commercial objectives into actionable marketing plans.
  • Strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, both internal and external.
  • Experience working with external agencies and delivering large-scale events.

Working Pattern

  • Full-time onsite (Monday–Friday)
  • 1 in every 4 weekends (with time off in lieu)
  • One evening shift per week (12–8pm)
