We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members. As a Retail Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring that our store meets its sales targets while providing an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities
  • Sales and profitability: Drive sales to meet or exceed store sales targets. Develop and implement strategies to increase customer traffic, maximise sales, and improve profitability. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse sales performance. Identify opportunities for growth, address underperformance, and adjust sales tactics as needed.
  • Customer service: Ensure that customers receive excellent service by providing a welcoming environment and maintaining high service standards. Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and effective manner. Implement initiatives to improve customer loyalty and retention.
  • Team leadership and development: Train store staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team culture. Schedule staff to ensure appropriate coverage and optimise productivity. Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual and team goals, and provide constructive feedback. Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to support team growth.
  • Inventory and stock management: Manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability while minimising wastage and shrinkage. Oversee ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to maintain an organised and up-to-date inventory. Conduct regular stock audits and liaise with category managers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Operational excellence: Ensure that store operations comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing store layout. Monitor and manage expenses within budgetary constraints, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Marketing and promotions: Implement in-store promotions and marketing initiatives in coordination with the marketing team. Engage with the local community to increase brand awareness and foster customer loyalty.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar retail management role.
