Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Wakefield and surrounding areas to keep our stores safe, functional and welcoming for customers and colleagues. You will maintain a range of systems and equipment, prioritising safety, compliance and quality.

You’ll work hands-on in a proactive team, using a tablet to view schedules, communicate updates, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high service standards while upholding Tesco values and brand.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent qualification required.
• Full driving license required.
• Health and safety awareness essential.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Office 365.
• Completed technical upskilling modules relevant to abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Tesco sites are safe and functioning for customers and colleagues.
• Follow planned work schedules to achieve first-time fix.
• Work with team members and share best practices.
• Carry out general day-to-day store and property maintenance.
• Use mobile devices to drive work updates.
• Represent Tesco core values in daily work and wear the Tesco uniform.
• Attend local and national meetings to provide input.
• Support an inclusive culture.
