Job summary

JAC Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead SAP-centric retail transformations across e-commerce, marketplaces, and store fulfilment. The role requires overseeing data migrations, go-lives, and post-launch support with close coordination across regional teams and HQ.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years in IT PMO/PMO delivery in Fashion/Retail, strong SAP expertise, and a track record of managing critical, high-risk transitions.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in IT PMO, Project Management, or Program Delivery roles.
  • Extensive track record delivering in Fashion/Retail sectors with multi-site retail, marketplaces and e-commerce.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP architectures such as S/4HANA Fashion/Retail modules, SAP CAR, or major template rollouts.
  • Proven ability to audit IT projects, perform systems analysis, and evaluate vendor contracts.
  • Experience leading high-risk operational transitions like warehouse moves, 3PL migrations, or core fulfilment cutovers.
  • Knowledge of SAP project lifecycle, data migration milestones, and enterprise dependencies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive delivery of IT initiatives to establish SAP-centric retail architecture across e-commerce, marketplaces, store fulfilment and inventory layers.
  • Lead centralized PMO for warehouse move projects, coordinating data migrations and 3PL transitions.
  • Coordinate between IT infrastructure, supply chain, regional stakeholders, and global HQ.
  • Assess existing IT infrastructure and map current-state integrations to identify optimization before changes.
  • Review third-party software and vendor contracts for performance, commercial fit, and compliance.
  • Produce technical and business cutover runbooks for go-lives and warehouse switchovers.
  • Ensure clear accountability and sign-offs for data migration, isolation, and cutover tasks.
  • Lead post-go-live Hypercare and rapid fixes to minimize disruption.
  • Maintain RAID logs and proactive status dashboards for IT leadership.

Salary: £66,000 - 77,000 per year
Requirements:
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in IT PMO, Project Management, or Program Delivery roles.
  • Extensive, proven track record of managing projects within the Fashion, Apparel, Footwear, or Retail industries, with understanding of multi-site retail, marketplace channels, and e-commerce.
  • Hands‑on experience steering projects tied to SAP architectures such as S/4HANA Fashion/Retail modules, SAP CAR, or major template rollouts.
  • Proven capability in leading structured IT auditing, systems analysis, or vendor contract evaluations during major corporate system overhauls.
  • Direct experience managing high‑risk operational transitions such as warehouse moves, 3PL logistics migrations, or core fulfilment platform cutovers.
  • Functional understanding of the SAP project lifecycle, data migration milestones, and standard enterprise system dependencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive the delivery of IT initiatives focused on establishing a highly optimized, SAP‑centric architecture connecting E‑Commerce, Marketplaces, Retail Store fulfilment, and backend inventory layers.
  • Serve as the central PMO lead for critical warehouse move projects, coordinating system handshakes, data migrations, physical‑to‑digital inventory reconciliations, and 3PL transitions.
  • Manage day‑to‑day coordination and alignment between internal IT infrastructure teams, supply chain/logistics units, regional stakeholders, and global HQ.
  • Lead structured technical and functional assessments of existing IT infrastructure, mapping current‑state integration flows to identify optimization areas before system changes are introduced.
  • Review and evaluate third‑party software, agency, and systems integrator contracts to assess performance capabilities, commercial alignment, and compliance metrics against business requirements.
  • Translate systems analysis into actionable roadmaps, highlighting dependencies and technical risks associated with decommissioning or upgrading legacy components.
  • Author and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) blueprints, ensuring retail business scenarios are fully validated.
  • Partner closely with business key users to align them with test scripts, manage resource allocation for testing windows, and maintain testing momentum.
  • Establish systematic defect tracking, prioritization, and validation loops with internal developers and external vendors to hit target readiness metrics.
  • Create, refine, and drive the detailed technical and business cutover runbook for system go‑lives and warehouse switchovers.
  • Ensure clear accountability, ownership, and step‑by‑step sign‑offs for all data migration, system isolation, and cutover tasks.
  • Structure and lead post‑go‑live Hypercare support models, triaging business exceptions and coordinating rapid‑response technical fixes to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain ownership over the programs Risk, Action, Issue, and Dependency (RAID) logs, ensuring all points have clear owners and active resolution paths.
  • Prepare structured, data‑driven status reports and clear progress dashboards for IT leadership and steering committees.
