Tesco is seeking an experienced F&F Retail Fashion Manager to lead the clothing department in-store, overseeing launch events, weekly sales, and day-to-day operations. You will recruit, train, and coach a team, drive trade activity, manage stock from backroom to shop floor, and ensure exceptional customer service and brand presentation.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and training the best people for your team, ensuring they have the capability to deliver above and beyond in their role by developing their operational and leadership skills
• Coach your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products in your store, building its brand and providing customers with the right range, quality and service to ensure they keep coming back
• Lead your team in the driving of trade activity and use your expertise and knowledge to grow sales and maximise profit
• The safety of your colleagues is your top priority, and you ensure your store is always trading legally by coaching the team to use all security tools available to provide a safer place to work
• Manage colleagues' schedules on F&F clothing department ensuring the right people are in the right place accordance to our F&F operating model and trade plan, within agreed hours
• Oversee the end-to-end F&F clothing operation, managing the stock from back door to shop floor
• Managing and motivating the team deliver on key metrics to support the operation including RFID routines, availability, delivery schedules and stock routines
• Making sure F&F clothing department is always clean, tidy and well-presented and merchandised to the F&F clothing principles and standards
• You will be an F&F brand ambassador - executing commercial strategies and maintaining store displays that consistently align with brand identity
• Being the F&F brand and clothing expert and championing F&F in store, delivering the practical actions to make improvements where necessary by conducting a daily floor walk outlining the tasks to be completed for the day by the team
• Analysing product performance and sales data to refine visual merchandising strategies and optimise promotional initiatives ensuring profitability is maximised and sales targets are regularly reached, if not overachieved
• Complete market research, analysing trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour (including social media and F&F online)
• Have a commercial mind-set, knowing your customers and local community, to advertise and regularly change lead ins to entice customers onto the F&F department and adapt product placement to respond effectively to changing market conditions
• Curate visual impactful merchandising displays and a welcoming store atmosphere in line with the visual merchandising guidelines set out in your VM guide adapting your store layouts to reflect local customer profile
• Building strong relationships with your team (including colleagues who work on F&F clothing overnight), the wider store team and your home and clothing area manager, including providing feedback and sharing future opportunities
