Job Description:
My client is looking for an experienced Mens Apparel Graphic Designer to join their vibrant offices based in Leicester. You will be designing graphics for key high street accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with the graphic direction for all product ranges, working alongside the design team, account managers and sales.
- Research and analyse current market trends, continuously improving these to keep graphics relevant. Ability to interpret trends in a commercial manner for different customers.
- Create seasonal graphic concepts through trend forecast, imagery, and data analysis.
- Designing and developing new graphics across all apparel collections that align with a variety of brands and market trends.
- Submit all relevant information needed for the development process such as original artworks, colour indication, execution information, artwork sizes.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the wider team.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently as well as with the wider team, contributing to a positive and creative team environment.
- Ensure Critical Path deadlines are met.
Skills and knowledge
- Degree in fashion design/graphic design.
- At least 2 years commercial design experience. This must be in a relevant field across a range of Jersey product – handwriting suited for high street and retailer.
- Have an understanding of print techniques and must be confident in selecting these to deliver on aesthetic and cost.
- Excellent Computer Skills including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong organisational, time management and attention to detail skills are key. Must be confident working on own initiative.
- From a supplier background working with the high street and supermarket brands
- A portfolio will be required to showcase these skills and experience.
