We’re looking for a retail driver to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, increasing shop profitability through the distribution of donated and new stock.

In a lively, vibrant environment, you’ll discover something new daily, whether it’s a new high street, community network, or a talent you never knew you had.

You’ll also be surrounded by people dedicated to beating cancer.

What will I be doing?
  • Working with the team to identify opportunities to generate quality donated goods.
  • Ensuring effective stock flow by transferring goods between shop locations.
  • Supporting divisional and national stock movements related to stock generation campaigns.
  • Assisting with new shop and superstore openings and re-fits by managing stock and equipment movement and storage.
  • Using customer service skills to make sure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
  • Supporting fundraising events, including movement of stock and equipment.
What skills are you looking for?
  • Considerable driving experience with safe and confident driving, often in unfamiliar areas.
  • Manual handling experience and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and manage workload in a busy environment.
  • A full UK driving licence and a good driving record.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse people.

This role involves regional travel. The successful applicant must live within a reasonable distance from the region and have a full UK driving licence. A manual vehicle will be provided, with travel costs covered via a fuel card in line with Cancer Research UK’s travel and expenses policy.
