Join the University of Southampton Students' Union as a retail team member, where you will ensure high standards in customer service and lead a team. This role requires a passion for retail and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays and occasional weekends. The Shop is open 7am - 8pm Monday to Friday and weekends 9am - 4pm (during term time).
The shifts for this role are typically weekdays, 2pm – 10pm or 12pm – 8pm. There will be occasional weekend work to help cover absences. Outside of university term times, shifts are likely to be 10am – 6pm. During holidays, the shop is closed over weekends except for some open days.
This role is NOT suitable for current students due to the shift pattern; therefore, we are unable to accommodate academic commitments.
You will play a part in driving the high standards expected in the store. This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and able to deliver it appropriately to our audience.
The successful candidate should also demonstrate leadership skills to lead a team.
SUSU is a not-for-profit organisation, and all revenue generated goes back into funding the activities of the Students’ Union.
You need to be a motivated and engaged individual with a passion for delivering high standards daily.
You should be passionate about retail and customer service, and eager to develop your skills and knowledge further.
Organisation skills and knowledge of food safety are required, although Food Hygiene training will be provided to successful candidates.
