Are you friendly, customer focused and enjoy working as part of a team to keep environments clean? Arcus is recruiting a part‑time In Store Cleaner based at Sainsbury's Wakefield Ings Road store on a permanent basis. 18 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.21. Immediate start is available.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning machinery and carry out daily cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in Sainsbury’s stores.
• Perform thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping and sweeping.
• In some circumstances, clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows or oven canopies inside the store.
• Occasionally work outside to keep trolley bays clean and free of leaves and debris.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.

Sainsbury's stores are open 7 days a week. Arcus offers various shift patterns with 5 and 6 day working available. The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday: Day off
• Monday: 05:00 to 08:00
• Tuesday: 05:00 to 08:00
• Wednesday: 05:00 to 08:00
• Thursday: 05:00 to 08:00
• Friday: 05:00 to 08:00
• Saturday: 05:00 to 08:00

You will also have some opportunity to increase your hours through overtime.

What you’ll need

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• An eye for detail and cleanliness.
• A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.
• Please note that you will need to provide a smartphone with NFC capability to access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance. This is a condition of employment with us.
