Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting a Retail Catering Assistant for Bassetlaw Hospital. The role involves preparing and serving nutritious meals to staff and visitors, while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards in a busy hospital kitchen and dining area.

You will work around 24.9 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with uniform provided and access to Sodexo benefits, including a Blue Light Card and holiday entitlement. Join a supportive team focused on patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to high standards, meeting dietary requirements for staff and visitors.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards, including washing up, equipment cleaning, and safe food handling.
• Operate industrial catering equipment safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
• Manage food storage and stock control, including stock rotation, temperature monitoring, decanting, and labelling.
• Support the wider catering and retail team by undertaking additional duties, completing mandatory training, and assisting with business needs as required.
