Retail Assistant – Part Time, 12 hours

We are seeking a retail assistant for our shop in Allenton, Derbyshire. This permanent part-time position involves a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits:

The pay rate depends on age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers with a friendly smile and greeting
• Assist customers in finding products
• Provide quick, friendly service at the tills, including packing and polite goodbyes
• Handle stock carefully during deliveries, restocking shelves and freezers efficiently
• Work with the team to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop environment

Requirements:

• A friendly, positive, and hardworking attitude
• Enjoy staying busy with varied tasks such as stocking, serving, cleaning, and stock rotation
• Reliability as part of a small team, dependable during each shift
• Flexibility in shifts, with planned schedules three weeks in advance, considering your outside commitments
