Retail Assistant – Part Time, 8 hours

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Seafield Road, Leith. We offer a permanent part-time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits:

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and greeting
• Help customers find items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, assist with packing, and leave a positive impression with a thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock carefully during deliveries, quickly stocking freezers and shelves
• Work with your team to keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy

Requirements:

• Enjoy being busy with varied tasks such as stocking, serving, cleaning, and stock rotation
• Reliability as part of a small team, doing your best each shift
• Flexibility with shifts, with planning three weeks in advance and consideration for your commitments
