Retail Assistant – Part Time, 8 hours

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We offer a permanent part-time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Pay & benefits:

The amount you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

As a retail assistant, your responsibilities include:

• Making customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and greeting
• Helping customers find items
• Providing fast and friendly service at the tills, assisting with packing, and leaving a positive impression
• Handling stock carefully during deliveries, stocking shelves and freezers efficiently
• Working with your team to keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy

• Flexibility with shifts, with planned rota three weeks in advance and consideration for your outside commitments
