Job description

Location: St David’s Hospice Donation Hub, Llandudno Junction with travel to other shop locations in Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Responsible to: Head of Retail
Contract: Fixed term, 1 September 2025 – 30 April 2026

About the role: As Retail Assistant, you’ll provide administration assistance to our Head of Retail, charity shops and donation centre, as well as leading upon our all-important 2025 Christmas merchandise campaign; processing new goods orders and offering exceptional customer service.

This is a varied and exciting role, and you’re input will be key in generating income that directly supports patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

Key Responsibilites:
Shops rotas and administration support to the Head of Retail
Leading the 2025 Christmas new goods campaign; processing catalogue and online orders through to delivery
Providing relief support to the shop managers during busy periods
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shop and donation centre environment.
Support volunteers and work collaboratively with the shop teams
Support the processing of second-hand donations in the donation centre as needed

A friendly, approachable manner and a passion for helping others.
Retail experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided.
Ability to work flexibly and team player spirit
Commitment to the values and mission of the hospice
