A leading company, Haskins Garden Centres, seeks a Retail Assistant in the Leisure department on a full-time, temporary basis. The role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting with various product ranges, and maintaining stock levels. We are recruiting a Retail Assistant in our Leisure department on a full-time, temporary basis until 22 July 2026. You will be working 38 hours per week including alternate weekends.
Pay Rate up to £12.21 per hour.
Haskins is a family owned, award winning business with 5 destination garden centres across the South of England, each with a large restaurant.
The role of Retail Assistant
Our Retail Assistants welcome customers to the centre and help with questions or queries across a wide variety of Indoor product ranges. They “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and achieve department goals whilst maintaining product condition, presentation, and stock levels within inventory control procedures. Involving some heavy lifting this role can be physically demanding.

This role is well suited to a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with excellent customer service skills and a desire to learn. Based in the Leisure Department you will offer excellent service and provide information on the wide range of products. Previous retail experience is desirable.
