Overview

Retail Assistant – Full Time, 39 hours. We are recruiting for our shop in Horbury Road, Wakefield. This is a permanent 39 hour full-time position with a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week. Full-time availability including weekends is generally required.

Pay & Benefits

The hourly rate depends on age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and greeting
• Help customers find items and provide fast, friendly till service; assist with packing and ensure a positive goodbye
• Handle stock with care, assist with deliveries, and stock shelves and freezers for customer access
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines to keep shops safe, clean and tidy

Requirements / What you will need

• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy; ability to jump between tasks (deliveries, till, customer assistance, cleaning, stock rotation, etc.)
• Reliability as part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on you
• Some flexibility with shifts; rosters are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are considered when planning shifts
