Job summary

HR GO Recruitment has a Retail Assistant vacancy in Stroud (GL5). The role focuses on keeping shelves stocked, maintaining attractive displays and assisting customers during the 6:00pm–9:00pm shifts, three days per week.

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Retail experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tidy and visually attractive product displays following merchandising guidelines.
• Assist with unpacking deliveries, sorting stock, and pricing/tagging items.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs to management.
• Ensure clothing areas are clean and presentable for customers.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer product queries.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily store targets.
• Support with stock replenishment and housekeeping tasks.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, customer-friendly shopping environment.

Position: Retail Assistant Location: STROUD GL5 4AG Duration: To start 19/10/26 until 19/12/26 Pay rate: £12.71 per hour, paid weekly Shift: 6:00pm - 9:00pm, 3 days per week As a Retail Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring that the store is well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and takes pride in maintaining product displays.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain tidy and visually attractive product displays, following merchandising guidelines.

Assist with unpacking deliveries, sorting stock, and ensuring items are accurately priced and tagged.

Monitor stock levels, reporting low stock or replenishment needs to the management team.

Ensure that all clothing areas are clean and presentable, contributing to an enjoyable shopping experience for customers.

Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.

Collaborate with colleagues to meet the daily operational needs of the store and achieve performance targets.
