About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, the role of a Retail Assistant is essential in delivering excellent Customer Service. You will be a key part of the team, contributing to achieving branch and individual targets through face-to-face sales, servicing click and collect orders, and developing strong customer relationships.

Main duties include:
  1. Serving trade and retail customers for click and collect and general orders while maximising sales where possible.
  2. Picking relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
  3. Assisting the sales team with product promotions by answering telephone queries and dealing with electronic inquiries as needed.
  4. Fully satisfying customer needs regarding part orders, returns, or queries.
  5. Checking customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
  6. Contributing to a positive team performance and working on personal benchmarks to optimise sales.
  7. Using the E-learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
  8. Keeping the customer-facing areas of the branch clean and tidy.
  9. Developing strong relationships with customers and understanding their garage needs.
  10. Representing the company professionally and maintaining our values.
  11. Working towards relevant KPI targets.

Working hours: Average hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday work.

About You

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Proven customer service or sales/retail experience in a customer-facing role.
  2. Target-driven and motivated to achieve results.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Positive approach to customer queries and proactive resolution seeking.
  5. Confident in using IT and computer systems.
  6. Ability to work well with others.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of car parts or automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
  9. Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.
