Job summary

Primark Cardiff is hiring a Retail Assistant on a fixed-term contract ending 2 January 2027. The role is part time (8–20 hours per week) with flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, as discussed at interview.

You must have the right to work in the UK. As a Retail Assistant you’ll help customers, set up an appealing shop floor, process till queries and returns, and help receive deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Set up a shop floor that is attractive, with tidy fitting rooms and well-stocked shelves.
• Deliver a fast and friendly till experience, handling queries, voids and returns.
• Receive deliveries, price accurately, and ensure stock meets high standards.

Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
Employment type: Fixed Term Contract (end date is 2 Jan 2027)
Job type: Part time
Contracted hours: 8-20 hours per week
Shift pattern: Full flexibility required - varied shifts including mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends (weekend availability is a must) – all will be discussed at interview.

• Applicants must be aged 18 or over where the role requires regular working hours before 6:00am or after 11:00pm, due to legal restrictions on the working hours of young workers.

What you’ll do

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customer’s day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floors that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products our onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
