Job summary

TUI in Leeds is offering an Apprenticeship Travel Advisor role at our Birstall store (Inside Next). The two-year scheme leads to a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification and develops you into a destination expert who can recommend and sell holidays, cruises, UK breaks and related products.

You will balance in-store and online support, complete practical and written assignments on our learning platform with your manager and learning coach, and enjoy a structured progression, shift patterns

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 9–4.
• Willing to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings.
• Aiming to achieve Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.
• Passion for tourism and customer service.

Here at TUI, you’ll find we’re an inclusive company with a culture of care and by joining the Retail Team as an Apprentice Travel Advisor in our Leeds Birstall (Inside Next) store we’ll provide a valuable insight into the world of travel and fully support you in working towards the Level 3 Travel Consultant Apprenticeship. Our two-year Apprenticeship Scheme is structured to develop you in becoming a destination expert so that you can recommend and sell holidays, Cruise, UK Breaks and additional products. You’ll put all customers at the heart of our business by creating unforgettable holiday experiences that make us the best-loved holiday company.

• You’ll embrace change and rise to the challenges of a customer engaged role face to face and virtually
• If things don’t go to plan, your colleague network will actively help you investigate and resolve any question or complaint
• As technology advances so does TUI, you’ll receive support and training on a variety of systems empowering you to enhance your knowledge, skills and behaviours to confidently adapt your style to help answer questions whilst bringing memorable holidays to life for our customers
• You’ll be given time within your working week to complete practical and written assignments via your online learning platform and with the support of your manager and a dedicated learning coach you'll be guided through your apprenticeship with the aim to achieve a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification.

• Good knowledge of excellent customer service and a genuine passion to work within tourism
• Dedicated to achieve, goals, targets and a Level 3 Travel Consultant qualification
• Self-motivated and willing to act on feedback, remaining positive when faced with challenges

• An organised individual who takes pride in their work and able to communicate effectively
• Grade 9 – 4 GCSE or equivalent in both English and Maths
• Able to work a varied shift pattern each week in-line with shop opening and closing times.
