The main objective of this role is to deliver essential resuscitation training and support throughout UHBW. The working hours are from 08:30 to 16:30. Responsibilities include providing resuscitation training, responding to 2222 resuscitation calls, offering expert advice at the local level, and leading as well as supporting various resuscitation project initiatives.

This position is part of a large team of healthcare professionals dedicated to maintaining high standards of resuscitation services across UHBW.

Main duties of the job

· Deliver resuscitation and medical emergency training programmes to University Hospitals Bristol and Weston staff and to external candidates joining our courses in accordance with the Trust standards, the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines

· Contribute to all on-going projects currently underway within the team, e.g. the Parent and Carer Training Programme, the Resuscitation Champions’ Group, Parent Resuscitation Training programme the maintenance of the resuscitation trolleys

· Work with a wide range of multi-professional leads throughout UHBW to ensure mandatory resuscitation training needs for all grades of staff are maintained in accordance with Trust Policy and the Resuscitation Training Needs Analysis

· Provide resuscitation training sessions across all Trust sites and be prepared to provide training sessions within partner organisations if required.

· Support the continued development of a high-quality Resuscitation Service through validation and review of training programmes and outcomes.

· Attend relevant meetings as required

· With the support and guidance of the senior resuscitation Practitioners, work with key Trust personnel to co-ordinate resuscitation services within the Trust, e.g. Clinical Site Management team, Ward Managers and Modern Matrons
