A regional health board in Wales is looking for a Band 6 Resuscitation Officer to join their resuscitation services team. The ideal candidate will have clinical training qualifications and experience in emergency care settings. Main duties of the jobImprove the quality of care and reduce morbidity and mortality ofpatients needing resuscitation and emergency medical or trauma careby training delivery, assessment and support for health careprofessionals, to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessaryto manage patients of all age groups in accordance with national andinternational guidelines, and relevant local policies and procedures.
The post holder will work independently with discretion to work withinbroad occupational policies regarding the delivery of Resuscitationtraining.
Attend resuscitation, medical and trauma emergencies providingsupport and guidance to the team leader, also ensuring audit of theevent and providing feedback to team members.Audit resuscitation calls, activities, outcomes and assist with thedevelopment of training programmes, which reflect audit information.Assist Resuscitation Practitioner & Clinical Skills Manager in theprovision of a flexible and fully comprehensive resuscitation servicesto all Service Level Agreement contractors.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
