The Resuscitation Team is part of the Practice Education Department and is responsible for providing resuscitation services to fulfil the Trusts resuscitation training needs.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated individual with excellent communication skills and experience of resuscitation to join our team. You will be developed to provide resuscitation training in both adult and paediatric resuscitation, attend cardiac arrests and participate in the day to day running of the resuscitation service as well as the wider Practice Education Department.
The successful applicant will be offered opportunities to develop their resuscitation, clinical and leadership skills, as well as developing skills in practice education and the facilitation of simulation.

The Resuscitation Officer will assist in assessing the training needs of the multidisciplinary workforce of Milton Keynes University Hospital. The post holder will primarily be responsible for the facilitation and delivery of resuscitation training and will assist in implementing and maintaining a robust resuscitation service which includes the provision of simulation, education, maintenance of resuscitation training equipment and audit across the Trust. The post holder will be expected to facilitate and deliver the teaching of both adult and paediatric resuscitation.
The post holder will act independently in line with Trust policies and procedures and will work without direct supervision. They will be accountable for their own professional actions, referring to their manager, as necessary.

To provide specialist advice and teaching on the assessment and management of the acutely ill patient in clinical situations
To attend where possible cardiac arrests within the hospital and act as an active member of the cardiac arrest team whilst operating within own scope of practice, swiftly assessing, and interpreting the needs of the patient in order to provide high-quality emergency interventions.
To assist with data collection of the National Cardiac Arrest Audit
To assist with internal audits on cardiac arrest activity
To take responsibility of own professional development, ensuring that you develop within the role
