Restructuring Senior Associate | Manchester | 3+ PQE | Non-Contentious Focus

Location: Manchester

Salary: £64,000 - £89,000

PQE: 3+ years

Role: Senior Associate – Restructuring (Non-Contentious, Transactional & Advisory)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced restructuring lawyer to join a highly regarded insolvency / restructuring team in Manchester, focusing exclusively on non-contentious / transactional and advisory work.

The opportunity

Our client’s restructuring team is widely recognised for providing a full service to insolvency practitioners, banks and funders, corporate entities and investors. The team handles a balanced mix of transactional, advisory, and contentious matters – but this role will focus exclusively on transactional and advisory matters.

The Work

• Transactional work: Acting on behalf of administrators, liquidators, trustees and receivers in the sale / purchase of businesses and assets. You’ll be involved from appointment through pre-pack or trading sales, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes.
• Advisory work: Supporting boards and businesses in distress, advising on restructuring strategies, refinancing and debt advisory.

You will also advise on:

• Pre-pack insolvency transactions, including deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents;
• stakeholder management;
• Board support assignments, delivering practical and strategic guidance to directors and corporate entities facing financial difficulty.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE (Associate or Senior Associate level).
• Strong background in non-contentious restructuring and insolvency transactions.
• Confident advising a range of stakeholders including insolvency practitioners, corporates, lenders and investors.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills.
