Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced restructuring leader to establish and lead a Midlands Restructuring & Recovery service within a national accounting and advisory firm, offering autonomy and the platform of an established business.

You will originate and win assignments, build lender and PE relationships, manage a high-performing team, and drive cross-functional collaboration with partners across audit, tax and corporate finance, all within a flexible Midlands hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within restructuring, recovery, turnaround, insolvency or related advisory services.
• Proven track record of winning and delivering restructuring assignments.
• Existing network of introducers and market contacts across the Midlands.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities.
• Experience leading teams and developing future talent.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Midlands Restructuring & Recovery service offering
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the function
• Originate and win restructuring, refinancing, turnaround and insolvency-related assignments
• Build relationships with lenders, private equity houses, intermediaries, legal firms and key referral sources
• Lead complex advisory engagements including business reviews, cash flow forecasting, contingency planning and stakeholder advisory
• Work closely with partners across audit, tax, corporate finance and business advisory to maximise cross-selling opportunities
• Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing restructuring team
