Job Description:

We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Delivery Associate.

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role in driving the firm's growth, with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. These solutions create a tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their careers.

About the Team
  • The Restructuring Delivery Team (“RDT”) is part of the Core Restructuring Advisory Team and the wider Transactions service line.
  • The RDT is a new national virtual team managing all insolvency appointment responsibilities taken on by RSM.
  • The team comprises members based across the country, including students, junior staff, and experienced staff providing guidance, training, and support.
  • The RDT supports the practice in delivering high-quality, compliant insolvency processes, handling complex cases, and suggesting solutions to achieve the best results for stakeholders.
Overall Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the newly created RDT, contributing towards its future development and success.

Corporate insolvency experience is essential, with a focus on training and developing junior team members. The team is divided into ‘seats,’ each covering specific areas of insolvency, such as investigations or closure.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical, analytical, and report-writing skills, along with interpersonal skills and a passion for training and development.

The role involves working with colleagues nationwide, ensuring progress and expectations are managed effectively. While the role does not require attending marketing events, opportunities exist to support marketing and business objectives locally.

The team’s structure allows for predictable workflows and a good work/life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in delivering processes across different seats, ensuring compliance with RDT, Restructuring Advisory, and RSM standards.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure timely task completion.
  • Develop internal relationships to support RDT objectives.
  • Manage, train, coach, delegate, and supervise graduate and school leaver staff.
  • Provide on-the-job training for team members.
  • Communicate regularly with the RDT Lead regarding objectives, performance, and capacity.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance and case progression.
  • Meet statutory deadlines on corporate cases.
  • Identify and address risk issues promptly.
  • Complete timesheets and billing within deadlines and budgets.
  • Stay updated on insolvency legislation and relevant laws.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform any other duties aligned with the role’s scope and purpose.
