Role overview
As the National Restructuring Compliance Senior Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing standards for restructuring work across all UK offices. This role supports the restructuring team in regulatory compliance and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay updated on compliance, regulatory, and technical developments
- Communicate changes to the compliance team and relevant parties
- Contribute to the bi-monthly restructuring newsletter
- Identify and implement improvements to restructuring procedures, including checklists, letters, templates, and case management diaries, with feedback from the Compliance Director and technical committee
- Ensure timely updates and rollouts of procedures and checklists
- Work with location technical representatives to identify training needs and coordinate with Learning and Development
- Support location Technical Committee representatives in addressing review issues
- Provide first-line support for technical enquiries, logging queries for knowledge sharing
- Develop knowledge of GDPR and AML related to restructuring
- Maintain information on the Compliance portal, updating as needed
- Assist in organising external and RPB reviews, drafting responses for approval
- Summarise review findings and conduct in-house desktop reviews to address issues and ensure continuous improvement
- Notify the National Technical and Compliance Director of serious issues
- Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and implement changes
- Report to the Director to ensure policy support and buy-in
- Organise technical committee meetings and act as secretary
- Manage document packs, ensuring accuracy, currency, and compliance
- Collaborate across departments and undertake additional projects as needed
Qualifications
- Extensive insolvency experience within a professional practice
- Strong technical knowledge, ideally JIEB or CPI qualified
- Good knowledge of IPS or similar case management systems
- Excellent time management and responsiveness
- Experience in implementing internal procedures (desirable)
- Experience in compliance and system review
- Analytical skills and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills for all levels
