Our long-standing client is an advisory and financial services firm specializing in business transformation, restructuring, and special situations.

Headquartered in London, the firm advises both public and private companies, as well as investment funds facing financial distress.

Their expertise spans financial services, asset management, real estate, energy, mining, life sciences, technology, media, manufacturing, and transportation.

Due to a high volume of work and a robust pipeline, we are assisting them in hiring experienced assistant restructuring managers up to director level to support their growth.

The roles vary based on seniority. At the director level, responsibilities include business development (BD), complex advisory engagements, and managing a formal portfolio (primarily administrations).

For assistant managers (AMs) and managers:

  • Managing challenging corporate and personal insolvency cases from start to completion
  • Overseeing statutory matters, including preparing detailed reports and correspondence
  • Reporting directly to senior partners, identifying risk issues, and developing resolution strategies
  • Conducting complex investigations, reviews, and litigation work as needed
  • Monitoring work in progress (WIP) and costs within budget
  • Mentoring junior staff and building personal networks

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of insolvency/restructuring experience for AMs, 5 years for managers, 5-7 years for senior managers (SMs), and 10+ years for director-level roles
  • Previous experience with administrations is essential
  • Strong knowledge of restructuring and insolvency principles
  • Preferred advisory experience (options analysis, accelerated mergers and acquisitions)
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and educational background
  • Familiarity with IPS and Microsoft Office
