Restructuring Advisory Manager

Restructuring Advisory Manager

We are searching for an experienced Restructuring Advisory Manager

Make an Impact at RSM UK

Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM's current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Restructuring Advisory team. You will have the opportunity to develop a breadth of commercial skills and experience across advisory and formal insolvency assignments within the team. The primary focus of the role is based in the Manchester office, however we operate a national advisory practice so the successful candidate may be required to travel anywhere in the UK to undertake assignments. The role will involve attending marketing events and working with the Partners and senior team members to help them with their marketing and business objectives.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Complete assignments in accordance with the Firm's standard Advisory procedures and where relevant statutory obligations, and to confirm arrangements with the client, company, or appointer, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Work closely alongside other Restructuring Advisory staff to plan and execute insolvency assignments, and manage appropriate insolvency cases as required, in accordance with the Firm's standard procedures and relevant statutory and regulatory obligations. Guidance will be provided throughout but this may involve some of the following:
  • Understanding the challenges currently being faced by the client and developing solutions alongside the Partner/Director and other Restructuring Advisory staff.
  • Implementing solutions through insolvency procedures as appropriate, with a focus on Administrations, Company Voluntary Arrangements and Fixed Charge Receiverships (Property).

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here's what we're looking for in our ideal candidate:
  • Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships with both internal colleagues and external clients.
  • Our new colleague will be ACCA / ACA (or equivalent) qualified with previous experience in a similar role and be able to perform a lead role in both advisory and insolvency assignments.
  • Proven experience of either preparation of financial information or the ability to analyse the information.
  • Experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency in a similar role and a CPI qualification (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and able to demonstrate a strong commercial outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to high quality delivery within agreed timeframes.

What we can offer you:

We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That's why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have fulfilling experience, both in and out of work.
  • Study Support
  • Hybrid and Flexible working
  • 27 Days Holiday with the option of purchasing additional days
  • Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme and access to a virtual GP.
  • Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our inhouse Talent Development team.
