The ReStore Manager is responsible for managing Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore operations. This role oversees retail activities, staff supervision, volunteer coordination, financial performance, and customer service. The position supports NOHFH’s mission by generating revenue through donated item sales, maintaining a positive customer experience, and engaging the community through partnerships and volunteerism.
Retail Operations:
- Manage all aspects of ReStore operations, including inventory, donations, pricing, and merchandising.
- Develop procedures for efficient store management.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Monitor sales reports and manage promotions and events.
- Perform operational functions as needed in the absence of staff or volunteers.
Staff and Volunteer Management:
- Collaborate with the Community Development Manager to recruit, train, and schedule volunteers.
- Supervise paid staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Provide coaching, development, and recognition.
Financial Management:
- Oversee cash handling and financial reporting.
- Assist in budget preparation and management.
- Maintain accurate revenue and expense records.
Community Relations and Marketing:
- Represent the ReStore in the community.
- Build relationships with donors, customers, and partners.
- Coordinate with marketing staff to promote the ReStore.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory policies.
- Maintain records in line with standards.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual reports.
- Maintain communication with leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience in retail management or nonprofit operations.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt.
- Proficiency in financial oversight and sales reporting.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and POS software preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years relevant experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, bend, and use ladders regularly.
- Weekend and evening availability.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation.
