About the Role

St Christopher’s is the supported housing provider for the London Accommodation Pathfinder – a service aimed at improving accommodation and outcomes for young people aged 16-17 in contact with the youth justice system at risk of custody (remand or sentence). You will work closely with local authorities across London and the Pathfinder project team to deliver programs that promote positive outcomes, including education, training, employment, and life skills within a trauma-informed environment.

Applicants should have:

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, Children’s Residential Care, Youth Work, etc.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with at-risk young people.
  • An understanding of issues facing young people and restorative justice.
  • The ability to manage challenging behavior effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Knowledge of barriers faced by non-white young people within the criminal justice system.
