Job summary

British Garden Centres in Ambleside are seeking an experienced Restaurant Team Leader to oversee daily dining operations. You will motivate staff, ensure friendly service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety during busy service periods.

You’ll plan staff rotas, support stock control, and deputise for the Restaurant Manager when needed. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering a consistently excellent guest

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and guest experience focus.
• Strong leadership and team-motivating abilities.
• Experience in fast-paced food service environments.
• Knowledge of stock control and labour planning.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Commitment to high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain excellent standards of guest service.
• Manage small team of staff.
• Assist with stock taking.
• Plan staff rotas.
• Deputise in the Restaurant Manager's absence.
• Adhere to company policies and ensure that these are fully communicated to all team members.
• To establish and maintain the highest standards of hygiene in accordance with Health & Safety.
