Job description

We are seeking an experienced, customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Yardbird.

Reporting into the General Manager and Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing day-to-day service operations of the restaurant on shift
  • Hosting and waitressing shifts
  • Supporting the Assistant Manager with training and induction of new restaurant staff
  • Overseeing restaurant cleanliness and reporting any maintenance concerns to the Assistant Manager/General Manager
  • Resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Enforcing health and safety practices, including sanitation and food hygiene
  • Ensuring consistent quality standards during service
  • Overseeing the opening and closing of the premises, including set-up and clean down.

Essential Criteria:

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar busy (table service) restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Criteria:

  • 1 year’s supervisory experience in a similar busy (table service) restaurant
