Job Summary: We seek a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee operations in our dynamic restaurant environment. As a Shift Manager, you will be crucial in supervising staff, managing daily operations, and fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and lead a team of staff members during shifts, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service.
  2. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and culinary standards.
  3. Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
  4. Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices in food preparation and customer service.
  5. Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring satisfaction and maintaining the establishment's reputation.
  6. Collaborate with other managers to implement strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

  1. Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management within the restaurant industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of culinary practices, food safety standards, and food preparation techniques.
  3. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  6. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
