Job Role - Restaurant Manager
Rate of pay - £48,500 (+service charge)
Location - Windsor (Must Drive)
Position Overview
Responsible for the smooth running of all restaurant services through close liaison with the Head Chef, Assistant Manager, and service team. Develop a well-structured team motivated to deliver high-quality service, guest care, and exceed expectations.
Essential Functions & Physical Requirements
- Manage, lead, and motivate the team to enhance performance, achieve business goals, financial budgets, and service standards.
- Mentor, train, and coach team members, including on-the-job and formal training.
- Manage shift coverage, workload, and resource distribution within and across teams.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance; conduct PDPs for supervisors.
- Handle interviewing, hiring, induction, and succession planning.
- Manage departmental budget, P&L, and payroll.
Service & Operational Standards
- Develop, implement, and monitor service standards to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food handling, and hygiene legislation, as well as hotel guidelines.
- Identify and implement standards to enable service excellence.
- Manage guest service systems, billing, and cash management systems like Micros.
- Respond proactively to guest feedback and comments.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in service and operational standards.
Food & Environment Management
- Ensure menu and environment reflect a luxury establishment to meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Review and update menus based on industry trends and guest needs.
- Maintain the condition of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Manage stock of linen, glassware, china, and silverware.
- Ensure team members display excellent personal grooming and hygiene.
Sales & Marketing
- Contribute to F&B marketing plans and promotions.
- Implement sales strategies to maximize revenue.
- Monitor market trends and competition.
Communication & Leadership
- Maintain effective communication with guests, colleagues, and teams.
- Collaborate across brands and partner with colleagues to harmonize procedures.
- Lead and facilitate brand team meetings.
Qualifications & Desirables
- Hotel management diploma or university degree.
- Previous experience in a five-star environment and leadership role.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, business acumen, and budget management experience.
- Proven financial success, data analysis skills, and service excellence.
- People management experience and a driven attitude.
