Job Description:

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne is recruiting for a Live-in Accommodation Available.

We are seeking a strong Restaurant Manager to work alongside the Head Chef. The hotel is located on the seafront, holds two rosettes, and caters for 60 covers.

  • You will be responsible for all front-of-house operations, focusing on delivering 5-star service and ensuring a memorable guest experience.
  • Be proactive in addressing guest requests and issues promptly.
  • You will work full-time, 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, serving lunch and dinner.
  • The restaurant operates for lunch and dinner only; flexibility for split shifts is essential.
  • Assist in other departments, mainly The Lounge, during quieter periods.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Experience in high-end restaurants, preferably within a hotel setting, with good wine knowledge
  • Organized leader who motivates and develops teams
  • Creative ideas to enhance the restaurant's reputation and standards
