Job summary

Champneys Mottram Hall is seeking a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar areas, ensuring outstanding service, strong financial performance and a premium guest experience.

You will develop and mentor your team, work closely with senior leaders and chefs, and ensure service delivery aligns with Champneys’ wellbeing ethos and luxury brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing a restaurant or food and beverage operation.
  • Leading on-floor with a visible leadership style.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and costs.
  • Experience in premium hospitality environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead restaurant operation and set service standards.
  • Develop and motivate your team on the floor.
  • Ensure every service runs smoothly, professionally and on brand.
  • Oversee rotas, staffing levels and payroll spend within budget.
  • Drive strong financial performance and continuous improvement.
  • Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis and support resort operations.
  • Collaborate with Chefs, Front of House and senior leaders.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation of our restaurant and bar / café areas, ensuring outstanding service, strong financial performance and a consistently high guest experience.

You’ll lead and develop your team on the floor, work closely with senior leaders and chefs, and ensure service delivery aligns with Champneys’ wellbeing ethos, dietary standards and luxury brand expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the restaurant operation and setting service standards
  • Managing, motivating and developing your team through effective leadership
  • Ensuring every service runs smoothly, professionally and on brand
  • Building positive relationships with guests and resolving feedback confidently
  • Overseeing rotas, staffing levels and payroll spend within budget
  • Managing stock, suppliers and equipment to agreed standards
  • Driving strong financial performance and continuous improvement
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety, health & safety and company policies
  • Acting as Duty Manager on a rota basis and supporting wider resort operations
  • Working collaboratively with Chefs, Front of House and senior leaders

  • Experience in a premium hospitality environment is desirable
