Restaurant Manager Position - Family-Friendly Hotel in Newquay

My client in Newquay is seeking an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of a 4-star family-friendly hotel restaurant. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience by utilizing your skills and knowledge to achieve the high service standards expected and supervising your team to maintain these standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary of £34,000, depending on experience, plus tips and company benefits. The role involves working 5 days per week, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Manage and lead the restaurant team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  2. Monitor daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  3. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and update menus catering to diverse clientele, including families and those with dietary restrictions.
  4. Foster a positive team environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and open communication among staff.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring quality supplies and managing cost control measures.
  6. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  7. Collaborate with hotel management to develop strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  8. Stay updated with industry trends and recommend improvements in service quality and efficiency.

Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a family-friendly or upscale restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and cost control, is essential.
