Restaurant Manager - Busy seasonal Cafe / Restaurant / Bistro - Shaldon - 40K

OVERVIEW

Our client has a rare opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Supervisor / Manager to join and lead their team of approximately 15 FOH staff. The operation caters for breakfasts, morning refreshments, lunches, afternoon snacks and teas with bistro style dining by evening. Whilst seasonal trade peaks in the summer months this is an all year round position with regular custom, parties and functions during winter months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business including managing staff and ensuring high levels of customer service. Working closely with the back of house team you will maintain the quality standards for food and beverages, handling financial transactions, and driving sales. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally as Restaurant Manager you will be expected to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.

ATTRIBUTES

Strong Customer Service and Communication skills - Experience in Food & Beverage and Food - Service management - Proficiency in Sales techniques - Excellent leadership and team management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Previous experience in the hospitality Industry - Barista experience - Creative thinker to facilitate events and special offers to promote sales during quieter months - Qualification in Hospitality Management / Business Management or a related field is preferred but not essential
