As the Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for providing seamless service and overseeing the day-to-day operations of any Food & Beverage outlets at the Hermitage Hotel. This could include the Café, Alpine Restaurant, Panorama Restaurant, Chamois Restaurant. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for leading the team on the day and ensuring they provide the best guest experience possible whilst planning ahead for the days and services to come.

The Restaurant Manager will collaborate with the F&B and Kitchen leadership teams in particular, as well as our reservations team to ensure they are organized and in sync with the products and services available.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead assigned restaurant to ensure the outlet and equipment are operated to a level that meets company and statutory standard
  • Engaging with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and document this on the daily managers’ report
  • In collaboration with the department leadership team, plan and schedule the team to deliver a positive guest experience
  • To recruit, induct and develop all team members, as well as manage performance issues.
  • Completing daily sales and management reports, identifying trends and opportunities
  • Working closely with senior chefs to ensure cohesion of service
  • Making guest reservations, greet guests, and assist with taking orders as required
  • Maintaining stock of food and beverage items to ensure continuity of service
  • Jumping feet first into the day and helping wherever is needed.

What will you bring to the role?

  • A minimum of 12 month's experience within Food and Beverage environment is required.
  • Qualifications in Hospitality are desired, E.g. A Duty Managers Certificate or the ability to obtain one with our support
  • Experience in training new team members
  • Utilization of data to improve guest experiences
  • A strong desire to strive for excellence, with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to work with grace under pressure and stress

The role and benefits:

  • Fulltime, permanent position, minimum 60 hours per fortnight.
  • Pay range is $29.00 - $31.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Accommodation at reasonable rent including power, and Wi-Fi.
