A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT HOST AT OUR HOTEL

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a
    positive first impression.
  • Manage reservation dairy, assign tables efficiently, and
    accommodate special requests while balancing waiting staff sections.
  • Handle reservations via phone, online platform (Res
    Dairy), or in-person, ensuring accurate booking details and waitlist
    management.
  • Inform guests of wait times and provide updates,
    maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour.
  • Assist waiting staff,and other staff during peak hours
    by coordinating guest flow and addressing immediate needs.
  • Maintain a tidy host stand and entrance, ensuring menus
    and promotional materials are presentable.
  • Address guest inquiries, resolve minor complaints, and
    escalate issues to the manager when necessary.
  • Follow health & safety guidelines, ensuring
    compliance with regulations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Previous
    customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required;
    training provided.
  • Strong
    communication, multitasking, and organizational skills; ability to remain
    calm under pressure.
  • Must
    be available to work evenings (typically 4 PM–10 PM or later) and weekends
    (Friday–Sunday).
  • Friendly,
    approachable, and professional with a guest-focused attitude.
