Job Description

Do you live in the Bristol area, and enjoy traveling on a daily basis?

We're hiring Restaurant, Hospitality & Food Service Auditors to join our team of self-employed independent contractors in the Bristol area.

You will play a crucial role in furthering our mission at NSF. In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and learn more about many of the businesses you may frequent as a consumer. You'll inform and educate restaurant, bar, and grocery store owners about specific standards, while continuing to learn more about those industries and growing your skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct food safety inspections
  • Coach and train at clients' sites
  • Summarize and evaluate inspection findings
  • Communicate findings and results with client site management or appropriate client representatives
  • Collect food, product, or environmental samples from client sites and ship samples to laboratories for testing
  • Develop effective work plans for completing inspections within set timeframes
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with key team members, including audit delivery and client teams
  • Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 4 Health & Safety and Level 4 Food Safety qualifications (these are essential; training recommendations available)
  • Environmental Health Degree or similar qualification is preferred
  • Ability to perform audits in all disciplines (Food, H&S, Fire) and/or to train safety advisors
  • Registration with CIEH or IOSH is beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills
