Byron is hiring a General Manager in Cambridge to steward our brand of proper British burgers with warmth and efficiency. You will lead a hands-on team, recruit and train staff, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied while upholding compliance and safety.

You’ll forecast labour and sales, manage costs, and drive profitability through strong leadership and superb guest service. This role requires a practical, energetic leader who embodies Byron’s behaviours and values.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant with Byron's standards, ensuring consistent quality and guest experience.
• Recruit, train and manage your team, setting clear expectations and supporting development.
• Forecast labor requirements and build rosters to meet demand while controlling costs.
• Forecast sales using historical data and current run rates to maximise profitability.
• Maintain a rigorous understanding of P&L and use it to improve profitability.
• Ensure all health, safety and food safety policies are followed and all statutory certificates are up to date.
