Job summary

A well-known hotel chain located in Sandiacre is seeking a Kitchen Staff member to prepare and cook dishes for buffets.   • Prepare and cook dishes for our buffet across breakfast and lunch from a predetermined menu.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
  • Ensure an efficient way of working to ensure food is available to fit our service times.
  • Be able to work at speed and using your own initiative, whilst taking direction from the catering manager.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste.
  • Some assistance may be required with kitchen porter and other kitchen duties.
  • Correctly storing food and accepting deliveries.
  • Taking food temperatures and dealing with dietary requirements.

Job Details

The role is for a minimum of 30 hours per week, 4 or 5 days out of 7, which will include some weekend work. The role will be made up of a range of shifts and so will suit someone with flexibility. Shifts will include 7.15-14.00 or 17.00-20.15, and may on some days be a split shift including both of these options. There may be occasions where overtime is available.
