Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Manager to drive the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and bars to the high standards our guests expect. You will lead a multi-site F&B team with a focus on guest experience, efficiency and revenue growth, while aligning with the hotel’s strategic plan.

The role requires strong leadership, forward planning and the ability to delegate effectively to ensure workloads are met.

Qualifications

• Experience leading restaurant and bar operations in a hotel or similar setting.
• Ability to drive revenue through guest-focused upselling and service excellence.
• Proven track record in managing multi-site F&B teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant and bar operation across multiple sites, meeting guest expectations and supporting the Hotel’s 5-year plan.
• Ensure the F&B team delivers exemplary hospitality at all times.
• Ensure food and drink are served promptly and to the Hotel’s standards.
• With the Co-Lead F&B Manager, set targets, rotas, budgets, policies and procedures aligned to the Hotel’s 5-year plan.
• Manage, coach, train and develop the restaurant and bar team to build capability, performance and engagement.
• With the Co-Lead F&B Manager, introduce initiatives that enhance the guest experience and generate additional revenue.
• Ensure the team has up-to-date knowledge of Hotel products, services, pricing and policies, and of the local area.
• Protect and improve profit by monitoring waste and breakages and taking corrective action.
• Maximise revenue through accurate billing at all times.
• Coach the team to maximise upselling in a discreet, professional way.

We currently have a great opportunity for someone to join our Food & Beverage Team as Restaurant & Bar Manager. You will be responsible for the efficient operational delivery of the restaurant and bars to the Hotel’s high standards and the expectations of our guests. Along with the support you would expect from our Food & Beverage team, you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow these important functions, in line with your own and the Hotel’s aspirations to be a world-class hospitality destination.

About you:

You will be an influential, guest and team-focused individual who has the necessary experience and successful track record of achievement at this level, within a similar standard hotel or hospitality establishment. You will be a highly organised forward planner and be able to accomplish the workload of the team by effective delegation.
