As a high-level overview, some of your responsibilities will include (a full rundown can be found in the attached recruitment pack):
- Ensuring operatives comply with company processes, procedures, regulations, and statutory legislation to safeguard people and the public, delivering services aligned with Acis Group Limited's strategic objectives and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs).
- Monitoring and controlling company assets, scope, cost, quality, and timelines for all works delivered by the workforce, within the agreed budgets and targets.
- Holding regular coaching meetings, setting targets, and conducting development reviews with your team.
- Performing quality assurance inspections on engineers and subcontractors.
- Surveying and inspecting properties, developing work schedules, and managing materials and plant deliveries.
- Collaborating with the Planning team and Repairs and Maintenance Manager to organise works.
- Updating the CRM system with customer correspondence, complaints, and enquiries.
- Identifying the need for risk assessments and method statements, delivering toolbox talks, and managing safe sites.
- Conducting health and safety audits and ensuring equipment testing complies with industry standards.
- Producing estimates, valuations, and contributing to financial targets.
- Managing variation orders, extensions of time, and liaising through to final invoicing.
- Interpreting data, drawings, and preparing reports for management.
What looks good to us:
- A technical background in construction or social housing repairs, qualified to NVQ level 2 or equivalent, with a Gold CSCS card, and willing to learn new skills.
- Experience working in social housing and collaborating with housing associations or local authorities.
- Experience managing skilled trade operatives, including productivity and performance management.
- Understanding of costs, including Schedule of Rates.
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme or equivalent.
- Knowledge of housing repairs management systems and managing multiple trades.
What will help you stand out (not essential):
- HND/HNC in facilities, building, or construction services.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a building services environment.
- NHF - National Housing Federation SOR experience.
- HHSRS operating qualifications.
- Previous supervisory experience within social housing repairs/maintenance.
