Job description

Responsive Maintenance Surveyor/Contract Supervisor
Grade 7, Salary £38,220 up to £42,839 per annum pro rata, plus essential car user allowance, standby and emergency call out payments
37 hours per week, permanent

Working in a team of Maintenance Surveyors/Supervisors, the successful applicant will travel to and work within council dwellings to:


Carry out surveys to identify defects
Prepare specifications of works
Issue works to the trade workforce and contractors
Supervise all aspects of housing repair and maintenance projects and our trade workforce when required


Applicants should be suitably qualified in the field of building construction (HNC or equivalent), be self-motivated, accurate and capable of dealing with tenants, contractors and trade workforce in a pleasant and responsible manner.

Applicants must be highly motivated to provide quality assurance of all repairs and maintenance works to ensure the highest quality service for council tenants.

Experience of using tablets/handheld computers would be advantageous and a driving licence is required for travel between sites.
