University of the Arts London (UAL) is ranked 2nd in the world for Art and Design in the 2025 QS World University Rankings. It welcomes a diverse body of over 18,000 students from more than 130 countries. Established in 2004, UAL brings together 6 esteemed Arts, Design, Fashion, and Media Colleges, founded in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Operating out of expansive offices within the historic Central Saint Martin's college (less than 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross Station), this vibrant and modern team environment expects colleagues to work in the office 50% of the time, primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Reporting to the Procurement Lead, the Responsible Procurement Assistant will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that the University's procurement practices align with its sustainability goals and standards. You will engage with UAL's supply chain to ensure alignment with its social purpose and procurement agendas, upholding the University's values and ethics in risk-based contract management.

About you
  • Experience working in procurement within a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of sustainable procurement principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Professional qualification CIPS / NVQ level 4 or above (achieved or in progress - desirable).
  • Knowledge of eProcurement, ERP/Finance systems, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent MS Office skills; PowerBI is desirable.
  • Experience building successful internal stakeholder relationships.
