At Addleshaw Goddard, our responsible business team is at the heart of delivering our commitment to making a positive impact on our colleagues, community and the environment. We focus on driving meaningful change through our volunteering, charity and pro bono work, and DE&I programmes. The responsible business team currently has seven members, spread across each of our UK offices. Each team member is passionate about create a workplace that reflects our values, supports our people, and contributes to the communities we serve.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Responsible Business Administrator will support the delivery of Addleshaw Goddard's responsible business strategy. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects which have a positive impact, while gaining valuable skills and experience through the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Apprenticeship.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and deliver aspects of Addleshaw Goddard's responsible business strategy, including:

administering our social mobility and work experience programmes, liaising with schools and students;

coordinating volunteering days for colleagues and clients, liaising with external partners;

working closely with our internal employee DE&I networks to support them in running events and campaigns.

Create appropriate communications and contribute information and news for internal and external communication channels.

Collect, analyse and report data related to responsible business initiatives.

Respond to internal and external queries regarding responsible business activity.

Keep up to date with industry trends and developments in responsible business.

Provide ad hoc administrative support to the responsible business team.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT

As part of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will develop the following skills and knowledge:

Understanding of different areas of responsible business practice and theory

Project management and planning

Stakeholder engagement and influence

Data management and reporting

Campaign and event management

Horizon scanning techniques

Crafting effective communications for different situations

Budget management

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Minimum qualifications: 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English and Maths.

3 A-levels or equivalent at grades C or above.

For the role ofResponsible Business Apprentice, we will reward you with a starting salary of £22,000 a year, with the potential for salary increments in your second year.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have gained valuable experience and skills to support a career in responsible business or related fields. Opportunities may include progression into a full-time role within the team or other business functions, subject to performance and business needs.
