This is a permanent post however, both full time and part time applications are welcomed.

You will be travelling across a wide geographical area, covering the whole of North Devon, your base site will be located in Barnstaple. There are different shift patterns available including earlies and lates and also long days.

It is essential that you have a kind and caring nature, are patient and able to offer a friendly smile. You must feel comfortable working on your own and also as part of a team, supported by professional colleagues.

Duties will include provision of personal care, clinical duties where delegated, monitoring the patients condition and working with health and social care professionals to ensure that patients are safe and well at home. You will need great interpersonal and communication skills and be able to connect with individuals with varying levels of understanding.

Ideally candidates will have experience of working with frailty patients in the community setting, but this is not essential. You will also need to be competent with IT as electronic recording is an essential part of the role. You will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme including support to complete the National Care Certificate.

You must have a full UK drivers licence with access to your own vehicle (with appropriate business insurance) as you will be travelling to patients homes to care for them.
